I’m Be’eri Gurtler Har-Tuv, a mortgage consultant and economist based in Israel.

I help Americans and other foreign residents, Olim, self-employed borrowers and investors get an Israeli mortgage that works for their family.

Where I come from

I grew up in a family of Olim

My parents, all four of my grandparents and my in-laws were Olim. I understand the Olim mindset and the challenges they face, and faced.

I’m Israeli, fluent in Hebrew and English, and I’ve been investing in and advising on Israeli real estate since 2010.

Background

I worked as a mortgage banker at Mizrahi-Tefahot, so I know how a bank reads a mortgage file and what it needs to see before it says yes.

Mortgage banker: Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank.
Economist: Israel Securities Authority, and the Accountant General’s division of the Israeli Ministry of Finance.
Hebrew University of Jerusalem: BA in economics and cognitive science, summa cum laude. MA in financial economics in the honors program.
Lecturer to the banks: At the banks’ request, I’ve lectured to the mortgage departments of Discount Bank and Mizrahi-Tefahot on foreign buyers.
In the industry: Board member of the Israeli Mortgage Consultants Association, 2020 to 2022.
